It is a beautiful Saturday morning, I was looking out the window to appreciate our lake.
Suddenly, most of the swimmers disappeared and a few of the people were taking walks or riding bicycles.
I was listening to the cello music by Haser who plays the cello like Godness, and reading Rumi's poems
that I felt so happy, could not understand how I changed so different, suddenly, from yesterday and today.
Only one night's sleep makes me feel so different, I should say that is not normal for me, or for a lot of people.
I should say that is coming from after reading Rumi's poem, I changed my thoughts and mind toward my small world.
So, I want to share with readers his poems again in simple writings.
Rumi was born in the year 1207, yet, his poetry belongs to everyone and his impulse was to experience
rather than any language or doctrine as text, rather than any book. Like everybody, he said "The soul is
undiscovered though explored forever to a depth beyond report.
Let love lead our soul and make it a place to retire to, a kind of cave, a retreat for the deep core of being.
Again he said wherever the soul goes at night that is our true home, so remembering dreams is very important.
In our daily lives, religion is very important, yet, he thinks the inner meaning of religion is one altar.
All acts of praise, contrition, and forgiveness join with the living core at the center of all religions.
At One Song, what is praised on one so the praise is one too many jugs being poured into a huge basin.
All religions, all this singing, one song.
The differences are just illusion and vanity.
Sunlight looks slightly different on this wall than it does on that wall and on lot different on this other one, but it is still one light, We have borrowed these clothes, these times-and-space personalities, from a light, and when we praise, we pour them back in.
People saw Rumi and his poetry as a way of deepening their own faith. As I felt today more happy than yesterday, No one can say what inner life is, but poetry tries to, No one can say what poetry is, but let's be bold and claim that there are two major streamings in consciousness that refer to the play and intersection of human with divine.
I might be a dreamer, yet I like to say Rumi's poetry belongs to everyone.
Rumi's poetry means to take us beyond the personal into the mystery that asks the question, "Who am I?"
Rumi would agree; the joy of being human is in uncovering the core we already are.
I felt all my life, that poetry is very hard to understand the meaning of the words, if poets use more difficult words the better-written poems are. But that was my illusion. Now I like to read more every day.
After I read Rumi's poems, I really tried very hard to explain to our readers about Rumi's poetry and his thoughts.
Yet, it will be best if you try to find out about him and his poetry. I am very grateful just could write about him,
A Little. (the second week of September)
